We’re Nick and Kaitlyn Rangel — the husband-and-wife team behind Roaming Bison Retreats, a small, family-owned short-term rental management company built on hard work, hospitality, and heart.

Our journey began when we started remotely managing our own property in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina — several states away from home. What started as a personal challenge quickly grew into a passion for creating seamless, memorable guest experiences and helping property owners unlock the full potential of their rentals.

Nick grew up in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, where the mountains became a lifelong part of our story. Today, we split much of our time between the Colorado Rockies and beyond, managing homes with the same care and attention we give our own.

Before diving into property management, Kaitlyn spent over a decade teaching in a low-income elementary school, developing a deep appreciation for communication, organization, and genuine connection — values that continue to shape the way we run our business.

As parents to two wonderful daughters, we understand the importance of family, trust, and details that make a house feel like home. When you work with us, you’re not just another listing — you’re part of our family.
